WHY SWIMMING TUTOR?
Of course, whilst there are a great many teachers, providers, NGB’s, information and expertise out there, over the last 20 years or so, the world of swimming tuition and delivery has become complicated, full of self-interest, misinformation, myths and false claims. It’s totally confusing and bemusing to many, especially to those starting the journey.
With the technological ease of social media posts, videos, ‘influencing’ and marketing, anyone can promote anything, anywhere, any time whether it’s true, false or indifferent. It’s very messy and open to abuse!
This over supply has made the challenges we all face in teaching, technique, knowledge, learning, programme building, timetabling, lesson planning, delivery, business operations, facility use, finding pool time and maximisation profitability, virtually impossible to keep up, maintain excellence or tell what is right & wrong, works & what does not.
Swimming Tutor therefore exists on a non profit basis, to simplify, cut to the chase, without agenda, compiling no nonsense, impartial advice, support and information – sourced from experts worldwide and making it easily available to benefit everyone involved in the swimming teaching industry.

Led by Nicholas Loxton whose experience and involvement gained over 30 years in the swimming, hospitality, business and architectural industries, is all bought together to form the basis of SwimmingTutor.
This unique mix of skills and knowledge is now being made available to all teachers, tutors, coordinators, swimming schools, pool owners all in one place, with the opportunity to engage and share.
Nicholas brings a wide range of business experience and problem solving from his architectural, property and hospitality careers together, with an MBA from University of Brighton, Business School.
As a tutor, CPD presenter and swimming school owner with 30+ years of teaching and pool management experience, successfully developing all aspects of Floaters Swim Schools in the South of England, which taught 1000’s of pupils, even multiple generations of the same family, presents a solid base for the expertise available.
